Come and experience your future!THE WORKCoordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.Up to 50% travelWHO WE AREOur customers are world-wide and so is our reputation for creating original solutions with the latest technologies. Our products keep our customers safe and bring them home to their families at night.WHO YOU AREYou thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment and are committed to delivering best-in-class products and solutions.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.Ability to lead and participate in cross functional investigation team frameworksWorking knowledge of industry standards and manufacturing processesUse of and understanding of Root Cause Analysis toolsUnderstanding of AS9100 and/or similar Quality Management SystemsUnderstanding of AS9102 FAI requirementsExperience working in cross functional team environmentsAbiity to obtain Security clearance Desired Skills5+ years of operations experience Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).Quality Management System and manufacturing process auditing experienceExtensive Supplier management experienceFormal/Informal project management experienceExtensive working knowledge of AS9102 requirementsWorking knowledge of SAP based ERP/MES systemsExtensive manufacturing experience with multiple product manufacturing processesElectromechanical product experienceExperience reviewing Supplier Statements of WorkExperience leading or being a key participant in formal process improvement projectsAbility to work independently without appreciable directionStrong communication skillsSupplier management experiencePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
