Surpass Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our physical therapy team. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite within our hospital's dedicated rehabilitation department. This department is designed to support a collaborative environment, where you will work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and therapy goals.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy services, such as therapeutic exercises, modalities for pain relief, and patient education regarding rehabilitation activities.
• Monitor patient progress closely, documenting effectiveness and suggesting adjustments to treatment plans under supervision.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and activities for continued recovery outside the clinical setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to discuss patient progress and enhance comprehensive care.
• Utilize advanced therapy techniques, such as trigger point therapy, to maximize patient recovery.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, and various age-related conditions. As a PTA, you will focus on fostering recovery and improving mobility, functioning closely with patients to help them reach their physical potential and regain their independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Current active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a rehabilitation hospital.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Ability to perform various manual therapy techniques effectively and compassionately.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective education and emotional support for patients and families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations is highly desired.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation.
• Background in outpatient rehabilitation settings may be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
