Assistant Executive DirectorWe are an active community of hikers, packers, and outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to keeping the trails of Hells Canyon and the Wallowa Mountains open and accessible with a "boots on the ground" ethic. We partner with the USFS to complete trail and infrastructure projects across areas of Eastern Oregon. Our volunteers clear downed trees, trim brush, install signs, and share their love of the outdoors with youth and visitors — protecting these trails for everyone who seeks adventure, peace, and connection in the wild.Support the Executive Director in all aspects of managing WMHCTA, including:Managing Outreach & Communications: Website maintenance, registration, social media, and outreach project creation.Recruiting and organizing volunteers for trail projectsTrail Project LeadershipKeeping detailed records of project performance statisticsSpecialized Project Management (e.g., trail sign manufacture and installation project)Grant & Government agreement managementOne season working on trail maintenanceHigh school diploma or GEDProficiency in website design and Microsoft platforms, project management, and leading volunteer crews.Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership capabilities.To join our growing team, please send your resume, cover page, and 3 references to View email address on click.appcast.io.
