Quality Control EngineerWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to support our production manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee and resolve quality issues, assist in the development and implementation of inspection plans, and participate in or lead audits of internal departments and suppliers to ensure compliance with both customer and internal requirements. You will conduct shop floor surveillance to verify adherence to established procedures and standards, while supporting hourly inspection personnel through the development of clear and effective inspection technique documentation.Location: On-site in Mount Vernon, IndianaYour Day to Day as Quality Control Engineer:Support inspection personnel and development of inspection technique documentationLeadership of process improvement activitiesMaintain quality assurance recordsParticipate in design teams for development of product improvement actionsProcedure development and ownershipMaintenance of ISO 9000 Quality system procedures and work instructionsManagement of CAPA (Corrective Action) resolution for component processesDesign and implement functional gauges for BWXT hardwarePrepare capital packages for purchase of new gaugesDevelop and maintain Dimensional Inspection Technique sheets (DITS)Create CAD models and drawingsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or technical fieldMinimum of 3 years of quality assurance, engineering or manufacturing experienceSolid math/statistical skills and knowledgeable in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and print readingThe ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearanceUS Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding and assemblyExperience of knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, mag particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiographyStrong solid model CAD experienceWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plansFlexible work schedules and paid time off to promote a healthy work-life balanceProfessional development opportunities, including mentorship programs and sponsorship for continuing educationAn inclusive atmosphere that celebrates new perspectives and supports collaboration between different generationsThe chance to be part of a mission-driven organization making a positive impact on the future of energyOpportunities for continuous learning and training to grow throughout your careerPay: $77,000.00 - $116,000
