Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Design Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate with experience supporting enterprise IT services, data platforms, and production environments by troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring system stability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Design Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues across enterprise IT services, cloud platforms, and data-driven applications to ensure system stability and performance.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for infrastructure, network, cloud, and data platform environments while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
• Support data ingestion pipelines, data quality initiatives, and platform operations by investigating and resolving data integrity and usability issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, customer success teams, and cross-functional technology teams to address support requests and deliver timely solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, root cause analyses, and operational procedures to improve support effectiveness.
• Participate in capacity planning, service monitoring, continuous improvement initiatives, and the deployment of new technologies while supporting cloud, AI, and data platform enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Production Support, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Tier 3 Technical Support environments.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise data platforms and production systems, including troubleshooting data ingestion pipelines, data quality issues, and operational support activities.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, Snowflake, Python, Databricks, and Azure, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to resolve complex system and data-related issues.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
