Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room RN to provide exceptional care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting. This role involves floating to the Emergency Department at a hospital in Freeport, IL, and requires versatile, up-to-date clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, and legal standards
• Document patient care accurately and timely according to established standards of practice
• Perform comprehensive assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations of patient progress
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and health management
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and departmental performance activities

Qualifications:

• Hold an active IL RN license and Dictionary of Nursing certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with education verification required
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, preferably at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Possess strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and patient safety skills
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities
