Role summary
The Sous Chef will Support the executive chef in daily kitchen leadership, food quality, training and efficient service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead kitchen shifts and coordinate prep, line staffing and service execution.
- Maintain recipe, portion, presentation and food safety standards across stations.
- Train and coach cooks and help resolve performance or service issues.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, waste control and production planning.
- Communicate maintenance, staffing and menu needs to the executive chef.
Qualifications and availability
- Prior kitchen leadership experience in a full service restaurant preferred.
- Strong cooking, coaching, ordering and service management skills.
- Able to lead varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Hold or obtain required food protection manager certification for assigned responsibilities.
Work setting
Restaurant shifts involve standing, moving between stations and working with guests or coworkers in a busy service environment. Specific schedules and essential physical duties should be confirmed for each posting.
