Pride Health is hiring a  Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in  Burlington, NC 27215

This is a 13+ weeks role with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Burlington, NC 27215

Schedule : 8am-5pm (40hrs/week)

Pay Range: $18.35- $19.61/hr

(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect, label, centrifuge, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient information and ensure specimen accuracy before processing.
• Match laboratory requisitions with specimen labels and test orders.
• Package and store specimens according to temperature and transport requirements.
• Explain collection procedures to patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Update patient information and complete accurate documentation.
• Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, and record maintenance activities.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and laboratory safety guidelines at all times.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist with laboratory-related questions.
• Participate in annual training and support workflow improvements as needed.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 0-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
• 2–4 years of overall healthcare or related work experience preferred.
• Valid state Phlebotomy certification if required by state regulations.
• Experience with venipuncture, specimen processing, labeling, and centrifugation.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
