Job Description

Job Summary:

Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures and related imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Prepares patients, operates CT equipment, administers contrast media when appropriate, and ensures imaging safety and documentation throughout each exam.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures and related imaging techniques.
• Administer x-radiation to acquire diagnostic images for radiologist review.
• Prepare patients for procedures by providing instructions, reducing anxiety, and ensuring cooperation.
• Position, immobilize, and verify patient readiness to best visualize the anatomic area of interest.
• Select, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment, image capture devices, and required accessories.
• Administer contrast media as appropriate, maintain intravenous access, and initiate basic life support when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT Computed Tomography registration.
• Maintain an approved CPR or BLS certification.
• Complete an accredited radiography program with education verification.
• Bring 2+ years of CT experience.
• Practice universal protocol, standard precautions, and correct patient identification.
• Meet IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation requirements.
