Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience required; recent traveler experience preferred License: Oklahoma State License or compact Certifications: BLS - AHA, NIH, ACLS - AHA, PALS - AHA, TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty; 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years Description: An ER nurse's primary responsibility is to identify medical issues. They determine the severity of conditions and provide immediate support. This support is crucial to minimize negative long-term effects and sustain life if necessary. An ER nurse is one of the first responders when a patient is admitted to the emergency room. The role requires a quick assessment and intervention to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
