Experience: 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting

License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with MR credential preferred or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certified with current registration required

Certifications: Current AHA-BLS

Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or an approved Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technical program

Description: The MRI Technologist works under the limited direction of a radiologist. General supervision is provided by the administrative director. Direct supervision is provided by the manager of MRI/CT services. This role involves performing professional duties involved in obtaining the proper magnetic resonance images. The job duties include providing care activities in the presence of patients. Invasive biopsy procedures are not part of this position. Occasionally, the role requires internal contacts outside the workgroup to exchange work-related information. Contact with external parties involves providing or receiving factual information. Normal courtesy and tact are required when dealing with others.
