This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about automation, controls, or adjacent engineering disciplines and wants hands on experience working on real world projects that support critical infrastructure across North America. You will join the Power Retrofit Projects group , which delivers fully engineered control system solutions for power plants using Emerson’s best in class Ovation™ Distributed Control System (DCS). The team supports the full project lifecycle—including engineering design, system integration, testing, and commissioning—providing a strong foundation for building technical depth, industry knowledge, and long term career growth. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Be part of a collaborative, inclusive team focused on solving complex engineering challenges Contribute to application design and engineering execution on active projects with guidance and mentorship Participate in cross functional and global teams supporting process improvement initiatives Build and develop technical capabilities through hands on project work and exposure to multiple engineering disciplines Support the application design and execution for thermal and conventional power projects Help ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project execution cycle Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and architect/engineering firms to help identify practical technical solutions Who You Are: You anticipate customer needs and strive to deliver solutions that exceed expectations. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 2 years of related experience in an engineering environment Ability to travel up to 20% within North America Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future .
