Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants provide care using a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Nights Can offer 36 or 48 hours 13 weeks Every other weekend, every other holiday Can approve 40 hours for time off BLS required, ACLS preferred Must adhere to UVA’s float policy Can submit with VA license pending Must have Epic experience

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Daily Census: 26 Number of Visits Per Day: 0 Number of Rooms: 18 Number of Beds: 28 Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: UC/Crohn’s caCirrhosis Surgical patients: colorectal, hepatobiliary, Emergency General Sgy, trauma, urology, gynonc sgy Medicine patients, UC/Crohn’s; FTT; GIB, etc. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Bedside taps Special Equipment: ETCO2 monitoring with GE B450 monitors

Required Charting Exp. - Epic experience is required unless otherwise notated in the unit description or job description. Background Policy - If aware of background hit(s), please inform Client Delivery Manager. Return Staff Policy - Please inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at any facilities under University of Virginia Health system as permanent staff member or internal/external traveler. For perm staff and internal travelers to be eligible to return, clinician must be separated for one year and be approved by UVA leadership. *Note that UVA does not allow external travelers to work on assignment for more than 365 days, regardless of time off between contracts. Separation Policy: Facility does not allow travelers to return after they have worked on assignment for 365 days, despite any separation period. BSN preferred Nursys verification is required for submittal Modules: Modules are non-billable, up to 16 hours. Any time spent on modules in excess of 16 hours is billable Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty Modules are recorded in Workday
