Transportation Clerk

Our client, transportation and logistics support services is seeking a Transportation Clerk to join their team. As a Transportation Clerk, you will be part of the operations support team supporting general transportation carrier support tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and clear communication which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Transportation Clerk

Location: RIVERSIDE, CA

Pay Range: $25.00

Shift: 5:00AM-2:00PM

What's the Job?

• Candidates must be flexible and available to work weekends, with scheduled days off occurring during the week.
• Support general transportation carrier support tasks, including daily interface with drivers.
• Assist with driver coverage for vacation and overflow freight while maintaining accurate operational records.
• Maintain daily/weekly pallet tracking where applicable and audit related documentation.
• Audit driver logs and trip reports, ensuring DOT requirements tracking and log accuracy.
• Handle various office and administrative duties such as accounts payable/receivable, collections, payroll fuel reconciliation, office supplies, billing, database maintenance, and miscellaneous reporting.
• The company operates seven days a week and is only closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

What's Needed?

• Strong attendance and punctuality-reliable presence is critical for this role.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks accurately, including billing, reporting, and database updates.
• Comfort working with DOT-related documentation, including audit of logs and trip reports and maintaining required files.
• Customer service mindset to support driver equipment requests and resolve operational questions.
• Organizational skills to maintain route books, driver files, and other transportation records.
