Job Summary: Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep dishwasher and equipment clean and organized.DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEE:Adheres to Sycamore's Policies and Procedures.Acts as a role model within and outside Sycamore.Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with coworkers and customers.Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.Participates in monthly safety training.Demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Load, run and unload dish machine.Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.Keep dish room clean and organized.Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designed times.Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.Clean food preparation and production areas as required.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.General cleaning duties.Attends all scheduled employee meetings.Performs other duties as assigned by Chef. QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENTWork environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Work conditions include exposure to mineral water sulfur odor.
