Microbiologist

Duties As a scientist and team member, evaluate and implement testing methods to detect the presence of infectious disease-causing organisms, human mutations, and other genetic disorders. Standardize molecular biology techniques and procedures within the laboratory and provide quality controlled, standardized reagents. Develop and write standard operating procedures for routine laboratory-based microbiology and molecular biology techniques. Instruct Microbiology personnel in new procedures, and may be required to prepare and present formal lectures. US Department of War
