Details Work in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at a children's hospital Patient population spans NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric and adult acute/intermediate care wards Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 No on-call requirements May float to an affiliate hospital nearby; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation Epic EMR experience preferred Requirements Current RRT credential required BLS certification required Minimum 1.5 years of PICU or NICU experience required Active Oregon (OR) RT license required if applicable Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration; charge nurse references are not acceptable COVID vaccination proof required; no exemptions accepted Additional Information First-time travelers are eligible to apply for this position Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the manager who supervised them there Provides therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gas administration, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and CPR Performs diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameter assessment, and point-of-care testing Assists and trains fellow Respiratory Therapists, students, and other healthcare team members Responsible for maintaining competency in all equipment and care modalities within the RCP scope of practice Charts and charges for all services rendered per facility policy Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application and may not exceed 2 weeks Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID #P-720682.
