M&A Transaction Advisory / Due Diligence Consultant

M&A Transaction Advisory / Due Diligence Consultant

Location: Remote (US) Type: Contract (project-based, often 4-12 weeks per engagement) Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience (high-end for PE consulting) Overview: Support PE firms during deal generation, commercial/operational due diligence, and post-close integration by identifying risks, synergies, value creation levers, and operational efficiencies in potential acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive operational, commercial, and financial due diligence on targets across industries.
Assess operational performance, supply chain resilience, cost structures, and scalability.
Quantify EBITDA adjustments, synergies, and value creation opportunities.
Support carve-out analyses, add-on integrations, and risk mitigation planning.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for PE investment committees.

Requirements:

7+ years in transaction advisory, due diligence, or M&A consulting, preferably with PE focus (e.g., at top strategy firms or boutiques like IGS).
Deep experience in operational due diligence, quality of earnings, and post-merger value creation.
Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and industry knowledge (manufacturing, healthcare, or tech a plus).
Ability to work under tight deal timelines with high attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
