Summary of Duties:

\n

\n

Reporting to the General Manager, Concrete, the Project Manager l is responsible for all facets of project management including the budgeting, scheduling, tracking, procurement, document control. quality, and the managing of multiple Concrete projects. Duties include the coordinating, and integration of multiple projects, and collaboration of people, suppliers, and stakeholders.

\n

Primary Responsibilities:

\n

\n

● Assist management with  all construction activities coordinating work and schedules with division leaders and the project team

\n

● Assist in determining appropriate construction methods and strategy employing the most cost-effective plan and schedule

\n

● Review drawings and specifications, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans and schedules

\n

● Assist with the preparation of competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings and bid documents

\n

● Assist with, develop, and write sub-contracts and purchase orders as required.

\n

● Manage submittal process, ensuring that all submittal information is reviewed and routed for necessary approval

\n

● Assist in ensuring project financial success by establishing and managing project budgets; prepare and report on job cost, actively working to ensure project profitability

\n

● Work closely with operations management and Field Operations Manager regarding resources required to meet project schedule

\n

● Assist with safety compliance

\n

● Ensure all project and payroll financial documentation is submitted timely throughout the work week

\n

● Weekly site visits to project jobsites for coordination with project Superintendent

\n

● Primary point of contact for assigned projects

\n

● Direct communication with project Owners, Construction Managers and project teams

\n

● Responsible to attend onsite coordination meetings and project specific meetings

\n

● Any other tasks as assigned

\n

 

\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n

●The ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, manuals, technical correspondence, and written instructions

\n

●Understanding of job estimates components, the drawings, and specifications to properly relate back to the estimate

\n

●Understanding of full lifecycle of contracts from initial award through contract closeout.

\n

●Knowledge of workforce planning and manpower resource allocating

\n

●Solid communications skills to write reports and prepare business letters

\n

●Organization skills to coordinate and integrate projects, people, suppliers, and stakeholders

\n

●The ability to be extremely observant with strict attention to detail

\n

\n

Experience & Other Requirements:

\n

●Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related business field or equivalent experience of 3-5 years

\n

●Minimum 1 year project management experience working in commercial construction concrete projects.

\n

●Capable of working with a diverse workforce

\n

●Proficient in Microsoft Office

\n

● Knowledge of construction management programs (procore is a plus)

\n

● Valid drivers’ license with the ability to be underwritten by Jostin insurance

\n

● Travel is required

\n

● OSHA 10/30 is a plus

\n

● Bilingual is a plus
