As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Driver in Portland, TN , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical facility emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, entrances, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence in a healthcare setting.
• Document incidents, observations, and interactions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
