• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Intermediate credential from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; travel experience required; licensed as a health care professional in the United States; certification requirements include ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration, epidural anesthesia, sterile vaginal exams, and use of infant care equipment.
• Additional Information: Candidates will perform duties including administration of blood products, anticoagulation therapy, assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for cesarean sections, and attend high-risk and routine deliveries. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, managing medications such as magnesium sulfate and insulin drips, maintaining central lines, and caring for high-risk obstetric patients. The role involves participation in labor triage, newborn nursery support, and use of electronic fetal monitoring.
• Certifications and Experience: Valid certifications listed above are required, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Travel experience is mandatory.
• Submittal Requirements: Two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required prior to start. References may include charge nurses or lead modules.
• Additional Notes: Attends all deliveries, including high-risk cases, and operates specialized obstetric equipment. The unit supports adolescents, infants, and adults with a typical daily census of 200-300 births per month.
