Embedded Firmware Engineer
PIXIE
Develop and enhance embedded firmware using VxWorks , C/C++ , and U-Boot . Implement Power-On Self-Test (POST) functionality, including memory tests, ADC voltage/current checks, and checksum validation. Develop interrupt handlers and monitoring interfaces for system health diagnostics (voltage, temperature, current, power-good, reset signals). Work with embedded development tools such as Code Composer Studio , GitLab , Artifactory , Docker , and Python . Perform SOUP (Software of Unknown Provenance) analysis and follow regulated SDLC and documentation processes. Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams to deliver reliable embedded solutions. Required Skills 7–10 years of embedded firmware/software development experience. Strong programming skills in C/C++ . Hands‑on experience with VxWorks , U-Boot , Embedded Linux , and bare-metal development . Experience with Git, Docker, Python, and embedded debugging tools. Knowledge of firmware validation, interrupt handling, and hardware interface development. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Preferred 5+ years of experience in medical devices , industrial automation , or instrumentation . Experience working in regulated environments with SDLC and technical documentation.
