Opportunity Overview
  • Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
  • Schedule: 24 weeks annually
  • Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan - Level 1 Trauma Center

Qualifications
  • Board Certified in General Surgery
  • Board Certified in Surgical Critical Care
  • Completion of ACS or SCC Fellowship is required
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain one)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certification
Key Responsibilities

Your daily activities may include:

  • Delivering comprehensive care in Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery
  • Participating in the management of trauma patients throughout the entire continuum, from initial resuscitation to rehabilitation
  • Acting as a clinical educator for General Surgery Residents and Surgical Critical Care Fellows
  • Engaging in clinical research and scholarly pursuits
  • Taking part in administrative and leadership roles, including supporting ongoing trauma verification and performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating on a multidisciplinary trauma program focused on quality, safety, and education
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
