Job Details Job Location: Ellicott City, MD 21042 Position Type: FT1 Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 Hourly Howard Country Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 5140 Dorsey Hall Dr, Ellicott City, MD 21042 We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Oral Surgery Assistant to join our esteemed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside renowned doctors in a state-of-the‑art facility. Candidates with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery experience only at this time. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Requirements Previous experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery assisting is required - 2 years preferred. Strong knowledge of anesthesia and implant procedures — including patient preparation, chairside assistance, monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery — is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of surgical protocols, patient care standards, and sterilization techniques. Ability to provide compassionate, thorough care during recovery and discharge, including clear post-procedure instructions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude. Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced surgical setting. Qualifications Radiology Certificate (X‑Ray Certification) — required. Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) — preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required. Hands‑on experience assisting with oral surgery, including anesthesia and implant procedures. A strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.
