Acquisition Program Manager Journeyman

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Journeyman level Program Manager to support critical Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) programs at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. This role will provide systems engineering expertise across complex, mission-critical programs and work closely with government and contractor teams to support system development, integration, and lifecycle activities.

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will support Department of Defense (DoD) program leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution of acquisition and program management activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply program management and acquisition knowledge to support cost, schedule, and performance objectives, assist with program documentation and reporting, and help identify and address program risks and challenges. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and policies and the ability to work effectively with government and contractor teams.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support program management and acquisition activities in accordance with applicable DoD and Air Force policies, including DoDI 5000.02, the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, and AFI 63-101/20-101.
• Apply a working knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles to support program planning, execution, and reporting activities.
• Assist program leadership in monitoring program cost, schedule, and performance, identifying potential issues, and developing recommendations for corrective actions or alternative courses of action.
• Gather, organize, and analyze program information to support acquisition decisions, program assessments, and management reviews.
• Support the preparation and coordination of program documentation, briefings, schedules, reports, and other acquisition-related materials.
• Assist with acquisition planning and program execution activities associated with the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems and associated equipment.
• Support the development and maintenance of acquisition and sustainment reports, including Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Activity Reports (MAR), and other program reporting requirements.
• Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs), senior-level meetings and reviews, and other program status meetings by preparing materials, coordinating inputs, and tracking action items.
• Support the development and maintenance of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), including tracking program activities, milestones, and dependencies.
• Prepare and maintain program status briefings, schedules, trackers, and other management tools used to communicate acquisition and program execution status.
• Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to collect program information, resolve routine issues, and maintain accurate and timely program documentation.
• Develop an understanding of program funding types, budgets, and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process, and support related program management activities.
• Assist with identifying program risks, issues, and dependencies and support the development and tracking of mitigation actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US citizen
• Must currently hold and be able to maintain an active Top Secret Clearance and be SCI eligible
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field
• 3-7 years of Program Management experience within a DoD setting.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in DoD acquisition program management, especially in an acquisition Program Office environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

The expected annual salary range: $165k - $172k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
