Our client has been locally producing flexible seals for just about any machine, device, or product for multiple decades, with all manufacturing and shipping done locally onsite.

SUMMARY

As an Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and running 2 1/2" & 4" extruders, handling materials, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You may be the right fit if you are reliable, team-oriented, and have machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.


PAY: starting at $19/hr

AVAILABLE SHIFT: Monday-Thursday (Schedule non-negotiable)

• First 2 weeks on DAY 6 am - 4:30 pm
• Regular schedule after completing training SWING: 4 PM to 2 AM

DUTIES:

• Perform morning start-up & evening shut-down procedures, operate 2 1/2" & 4" extruders, and handle assembly/disassembly of extruder heads.
• Prepare dies for use, ensuring proper cleaning and care; accurately identify and handle raw materials.
• Operate conveyor systems, manage proper coiling procedures, handle finished goods, and manage soft extrusion.
• Use measuring and calibrated equipment to ensure quality; understand and apply quality policies & procedures.
• Assist with part-marking on the line and participate in product development
• Utilize mill operations and understand autoclave operation.
• Understand inventory control.
• Complete all production paperwork and reports accurately.
• Operate forklifts safely to move materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of machine operation experience required.
• Priority to those with extrusion experience and/or experience using EPDM, Neoprene, SBR, and/or Nitrile materials.
• Basic math, measuring skills (metric and standard), and computer skills required.
• Proven work record of reliability and team-based work ethic.
• Proven record of safety and basic manufacturing principles such as LEAN, S6, etc.
• Able to work the entire shift in a physical, loud, and sometimes messy environment using all required safety protocols and tools.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and consistently maneuver up to 50 pounds
