Key Responsibilities Instruction & Advising: Teach core Education courses, provide academic advising, and mentor teacher candidates throughout their professional development. Clinical Supervision: Provide oversight and support for students in various clinical placements, ensuring alignment with best practices and state standards. Administrative Operations: Oversee critical program infrastructure, including partnership agreements, student background checks, and the coordination of clinical placements. Program Leadership: Direct the UE Reads program, ensuring its success and impact on the local community. Assessment & Compliance: Collaborate with the Department Chair to collect assessment data, complete required reports, and ensure compliance with accreditation and state licensure requirements. Departmental Service: Participate actively on key committees, including the School of Education Recruitment Committee and the SOE Advisory Board, to bolster recruitment, retention, and program effectiveness. Required Qualifications Teaching Experience: Minimum of three years of successful, recent K-12 classroom teaching experience. Knowledge Base: Strong foundational knowledge of current Indiana Department of Education teacher licensure requirements, evidence-based instructional practices, and modern curricular expectations. Technical Proficiency: Excellent skills in technology and AI integration to support both instruction and administrative efficiency. Leadership Qualities: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex responsibilities simultaneously.
