Customer Service Representative (Call Center)

Pay: $21.00/hour

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)

Are you passionate about helping customers and solving problems? We're seeking detail-oriented Customer Service Representatives to join a fast-paced call center environment. This opportunity offers excellent long-term growth potential, with many team members advancing into departments such as IT, Claims, Prior Authorization, Training, Leadership, and more.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer service calls in a high-volume call center environment

• Make occasional follow-up calls as needed

• Answer questions related to prior authorizations, account information, and general inquiries

• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information

• Accurately document customer interactions and enter data into multiple systems

• Research and resolve customer concerns

• Meet quality and accuracy standards while providing exceptional customer service

• Manage approximately 50-100 calls per day, depending on call complexity

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent high-volume call center experience within the past 2-3 years

• Stable work history with at least 1 year of tenure in recent positions

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously

• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency

Schedule

• Must be available to work any day of the week within operating hours of 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM

• A consistent schedule will be assigned within those hours

Paid Training

4-Week Training Program

• Weeks 1-2: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• Weeks 3-4: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Training Expectations

Successful candidates will:

• Actively participate in training sessions

• Complete worksheets and assignments

• Take four assessments during training

• Maintain a cumulative assessment average of 90% or higher

Shift Selection

Shift assignments are awarded through a performance-based shift bid at the conclusion of training. Rankings are determined by training assessment scores and overall performance.

Additional Information

• Mandatory overtime is required during January and February

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
