About the Position
Mitchell Technical College (MTC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technology Instructor to join our Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program. This full-time faculty position begins August 2026. The Radiologic Technology program at Mitchell Technical College is a comprehensive 21-month AAS degree that seamlessly combines rigorous didactic instruction, hands-on laboratory training, and clinical rotations across a diverse network of healthcare facilities in South Dakota. Students receive premier training in radiographic positioning, patient care, radiation safety, imaging equipment, pathology, and advanced modalities. Graduates are fully prepared for successful careers in hospitals, clinics, and medical offices, and are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination. The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that the college's Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which includes crime statistics be made available to prospective employees and prospective students upon request. Mitchell Tech's Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery crimes that occurred on campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault prevention and response, timely warnings, emergency response, and other matters. - Instructional Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lesson plans for didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress, clinical competencies, and skill proficiency in classroom, laboratory, and healthcare settings.
- Curriculum & Compliance: Contribute to continuous curriculum development, program assessment, and ongoing JRCERT accreditation compliance activities.
- Educational Technology: Utilize modern educational technology and learning management systems (LMS) effectively to enhance student learning.
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner with regional clinical affiliates to coordinate and oversee high-quality student rotations.
- Mentorship: Provide proactive academic advising, mentorship, and support to students throughout their educational journey.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or wiliness to obtain one.
- Credentials: Current professional credentials in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years (or 6,000 hours) of professional clinical experience in the Radiologic Technology field.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Background: Must successfully pass a state and federal criminal background check.
