Senior Program Manager

IDEXX Veterinary Software is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Strategy & Operations organization. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that directly advance VetSoft’s most critical strategic priorities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is perfect for you!What can you expect?Program Strategy & AlignmentPartner with Senior Leadership to translate strategic priorities into scalable, cross-functional programs with clear outcomes, KPIs, and value realization plans.Shape program roadmaps that align multiple workstreams to enterprise objectives, ensuring sequencing, resource alignment, and long-term sustainability.Drive clarity on scope, interdependencies, trade-offs, and decision frameworks across complex initiatives.Program Leadership & ExecutionLead large-scale, global, cross-functional programs from concept through implementation, ensuring delivery against strategic objectives and timelines.Design and implement governance models, operating cadences, and Leadership reporting structures that drive transparency and accountability.Anticipate, identify, and mitigate systemic risks and cross-program dependencies; proactively resolve barriers to execution.Champion disciplined execution while maintaining agility in dynamic, high-growth environments.Institutionalize best practices and scalable processes that improve organizational effectiveness beyond the life of the program.Executive & Stakeholder InfluenceServe as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing data-driven insights, structured recommendations, and clear decision support.Influence and align stakeholders across functions, geographies, and levels — often without direct authority.Drive executive communication, including steering committee updates and strategic recommendations.Foster strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment, engagement, and shared ownership of outcomes.What do you need to succeed?Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.10–12+ years of progressive experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels — connecting enterprise vision to disciplined execution.Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and experience managing programs with measurable ROI.Expertise in program governance, risk management, change management, and organizational alignment.Exceptional executive communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.Proficiency in program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams).PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.Location:Hybrid- Westbrook, MEWhat you can expect from us: Competitive salary starting at $140k +Opportunity for annual cash bonusHealth / Dental / Vision Benefits Day-One5% matching 401kOn the job training and career advancement opportunities (experience NOT required)Additional benefits including but not limited to financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and much moreWhy IDEXX?We’re proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
