Water/Wastewater Municipal Engineer

HDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Municipal Engineer to work as a member of our growing office in Houston or Corpus Christi, TX. Primary Responsibilities Design responsibilities include preparing construction documents, calculations, writing specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution, wastewater collection system, pump stations, site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, determining appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection. Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Serve as owner's representative, coordinate inspection/observation activities, review and respond to shop drawings, submittals, requests for clarification and other construction-related correspondence, coordinate startup, commissioning and acceptance activities. Help coordinate the work of engineers and the balance of the multi-discipline project team throughout the entire project development. Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with other staff. Perform other duties as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Previous experience in general civil engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
