Position Summary Seasonal Locksmith – Hourly, Non‑Exempt – New York, NY – Onsite Responsibilities Cylinder and key preparation Door hardware repairs and replacements Technical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues Provide exceptional service to residents Repair and replace all windows and glass as needed Perform routine lock, cylinder, and door maintenance (e.g., repinning cylinders, cutting keys) Assist with installation of apartment entry door cylinders, locks, and hardware Diagnose and repair hardware related to doors, locks, and keyed access locations Be an ambassador of the property by answering resident questions and representing our cultural responsibilities Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor Qualifications 1‑2 years of trade experience in a similar role Trade school graduation or equivalent education is a plus Computer skills sufficient to manage a work‑order system Ability to multitask under high pressure in a fast‑paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent time‑management and organizational skills Weekends or overtime may be required on occasion Strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others Belief that doing the right thing is the only option, even if difficult Willingness to respond to emergency situations at any time of day Valid Driver’s License and enrollment in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) Experience with tablet‑based work order programs Basic to intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $27.09 (exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location).
