This role can operate out of the Long Island or NYC area. The firm acknowledges the need for adaptability in today's work environment and hence offers flexible work arrangements, be it in-office, remote, or a hybrid model. Salary: Ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engagement team to define the audit objectives, devising a risk-based strategy for each engagement.
• Set the tone and expectations for the audit team, ensuring clarity on deliverables and level of service.
• Lead the audit processes for M&D clients, efficiently juggling competing priorities.
• Provide guidance on complex or specialized issues arising during audits.
• Recognize accounting and audit risks, navigating them using US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS, IAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Supervise the audit fieldwork, ensuring timely and quality results.
• Address and anticipate client concerns, escalating issues to the managerial team as needed.
• Understand the client's industry, spotting emerging trends, technical developments, and key business drivers.
• Engage in professional development activities, mentoring other audit staff, and participating in firm initiatives.
• Foster long-term professional relationships, seeking opportunities for business growth and expanded firm services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field.
• CPA credentials or nearing CPA examination completion.
• Minimum 3 years in financial audit, preferably in a leading CPA firm or professional services setting.
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing, distributors, and large corporate audits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern audit software tools, including ProSystem Engagement.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Keen analytical and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites when necessary.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
