Bus Driver/Utility Worker [30 h/w positions with benefits are available]

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Facilities and Transportation, and the Transportation Supervisor, operates a school bus over designated routes, transporting students and passengers safely and efficiently; transports students, teachers and passengers on field trips to various locations as the home to school schedule permits; performs regular safety inspections, prepares and maintains records related to assigned activities; performs general office functions; picks up and delivers food, equipment, materials and supplies; performs general custodial and cleaning work.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Certificate Copy (Valid California Special Driver Certificate for school bus with no restrictions preferred except numbers 1 and 6)
• Certification (Certification of successfully passing a DMV medical examination)
• CPR/First Aid Certification (if First Aid was waived at CHP)
• DMV Printout (DMV driving record dated within the last 30 days)
• Driver's License Copy (Valid California Class A or Class B commercial driver license with P and S endorsements)
• Proof of HS Graduation (High school diploma, high school equivalent, high school transcripts, college degree, college transcripts are all accepted as proof of HS graduation)

Comments and Other Information

Employees who work thirty (30) or more regularly assigned hours per week are eligible for health and welfare benefits and will receive a district contribution toward a cafeteria fringe benefit package. Employees who are eligible, as described above, are required to participate in employee only medical, dental and life insurance coverage.
