Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU

Location

Lubbock, TX | Children's Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III/IV NICU environment with expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2–4
• Participate in a self-scheduling model, including an expected 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Float between units within the facility as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete all required onboarding modules prior to and during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (charge RNs/leads accepted)
• 48-hour shifts are available if desired

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level III or Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred, as this is a Level IV unit
• Experience in a children's hospital or pediatric trauma center setting
• Flexibility and willingness to consider extended contracts beyond the standard 13-week assignment
