Heavy Equipment Operator (Skillbridge)Heavy Equipment Operator (Skillbridge)The Veolia North America SkillBridge Program is an approved program under the Department of Defense Instruction ("DoDI") 1322.29 as an opportunity for service members preparing for civilian careers to gain valuable civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Veolia Group while on active duty and continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. Eligible Applicants must have written command approval to participate.This role is for second shift and those hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to Midnight.Operates heavy equipment such as front-end loader, excavator, etc.Mix and process hazardous and non-hazardous materials.Sample and receive drums according to profiles to determine accuracy of identification labeling and route to lab for analytical testing.Utilize batch sheets to manage the movement of material for processing.After processing, move empty containers to a recycling trailer or drum roll-off for disposal.Perform required maintenance, inspections, and small repairs on equipmentMoving material using tractor-trailers.Qualifications:Served at least 180 continuous days on active dutyWithin 12 months of separation or retirement from the militaryAble to start within 180 days prior to their separation or retirement from active military service.Must have high school diploma/GEDMUST be clean shavenSeven to ten years of heavy equipment operation experience. i.e. small or large excavators.
