BluePearl Pet Hospital – Pittsburgh, PA – Veterinarian Hospitalist BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Veterinarian Hospitalist to provide medical oversight to a variety of hospitalized veterinary patients. You will join our large referral team with 7 criticalists across our Pittsburgh locations and a house officer program featuring rotating interns, emergency and critical care interns, residents, and surgical interns and residents. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries. Evaluate patient status, make timely treatment and diagnostic plans/orders, administer medications, interpret diagnostic test results, communicate effectively with pet owners and primary care veterinarians, and collaborate on patient care with other veterinarians within the practice. Dress animal wounds and treat animals with fractures. Write prescriptions for sick animals. Complete appropriate documentation and request referrals from other specialists as needed.
