Connect with JASPER Internship: Summer 2027

Job Description:

Connect With JASPER, an innovative internship opportunity offered by Jasper Engines and Transmissions, is unlike the typical internship. This partnership is unique to JASPER and encourages students to be creative and collaborate as a team to gain the most from their experience. The program is designed to develop students in three valuable areas of life: Professionally: Participation in a lean manufacturing workshop based on continuous improvement and process improvement. Personally: Engagement in life skills sessions such as communication, interviewing, team-building, finance/investments, etc. Culturally: Completion of a community service project, displaying the impact of philanthropy. Even if you aren't focused on a major that is connected directly to engineering or manufacturing, no worries – the program is open to any and all fields of study. JASPER is looking for students who have completed their first year of college (current freshmen) but will also accept applications from students who are currently in their sophomore or junior years. The internship is paid and housing is provided if available. The program is scheduled to begin in the middle of May and conclude in early August. Our mission is simple: We want to connect the missing piece between classroom education and the real-life experiences in a workplace through stimulating exercises and engaging activities. Our vision is this: Jasper Engines and Transmissions is committed to the development of the youth in our communities. JASPER understands the importance of bridging the gap between education and industry at an early age and will do so by challenging our students with exceptional learning opportunities that will prepare them for future experiences in the classroom and in the workforce. JASPER Engines & Transmissions is nation's leader in re-manufactured engines and transmissions and has been thriving since 1942 by working hard and having fun. Based in Jasper, IN, JASPER wants you to join our journey to become the Brand of Choice for our Customers and the Employer of Choice for Associate-Owners.
