What You'll Do Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other finishing processes Apply liquid paint coatings using industrial spray equipment Inspect painted products to ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and adherence to specifications Perform touch-ups and minor rework as needed Mix paints and adjust equipment settings to achieve optimal results Maintain painting equipment and assist with routine cleaning and upkeep Follow all production, quality, and safety procedures Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or production painting experience Experience using spray guns and paint application equipment Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift throughout the shift Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred Qualifications Experience with masking, sanding, and surface preparation Familiarity with HVLP, pressure pot, pneumatic, or airless spray systems Automotive painting or refinishing experience Experience mixing paints, matching finishes, and adjusting spray equipment Manufacturing, fabrication, powder coating, or metal finishing experience Why Join Us? Team members will wear required PPE and spend most of the day standing, walking, and handling metal products while supporting production operations. Hiring Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
