The Radiation Oncology Service is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body and operates state-of-the-art equipment including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, RayStation treatment planning, and ARIA record & verify systems.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Chief Physicist in all medical physics and dosimetry activitiesDesign, optimize, and technically evaluate radiation treatment plansEnsure precise and accurate radiation dose deliveryMaintain radiation protection standards for patients and staffPerform daily, monthly, and annual QA proceduresProvide consultation to Radiation Oncologists and guidance to technical staffAssist with complicated simulations and treatment setupsContribute to accreditation and compliance with ACR, ASTRO, and AAPM standardsQualificationsM.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related fieldBoard Certified (or board-eligible with 5 years experience or CAMPEP graduate) by ABR, ABMP, or CCPMMinimum 2 years continuous experience within the last 3 years2 years performing QA procedures1 year experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators (TG-142)1 year experience with IGRT including Cone Beam CT1 year experience with RayStation TPS and ARIA R&V (2D/3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT/VMAT)1 year IMRT QA experience (MapCheck I/II or equivalent)1 year CT Simulator experience (TG-66)Experience with superficial X-ray machinesScheduleFull-time, Monday – FridayRegular hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMSome after-hours work for calibrations and measurementsFederal holidays offKurzSolutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
