Shipping Lead, ECommerce

Overview Stumptown Coffee is seeking a Shipping & Fulfillment Specialist to support e-commerce order processing. The role collaborates with Production, Logistics, and Direct to Consumer (DTC) teams to fulfill orders accurately and on time, including coffee subscriptions. Responsibilities Organize and carry out the packing and fulfillment of orders placed through the website, including subscriptions. Collaborate with and delegate to a rotating group of production technicians to ensure each package is properly labeled, accounted for, and shipped on time. Process orders through to shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely pickup from the roastery. Deliver packages to the post office or UPS as needed; develop and maintain relationships with USPS and UPS drivers. Assist drivers with nightly pickups and communicate with the e-commerce team (DTC, Production Managers, Digital Marketing) both verbally and via email. Work with the Logistics team to order and maintain shipping supplies and e-commerce collateral. Utilize NetSuite and Google Sheets to track order numbers, identify trends, and prepare for future order volume. Maintain a clean, organized shipping workspace and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, including during emergencies. Ensure packaging quality by handling items with care and addressing packaging issues using customer feedback to identify patterns and implement solutions. Support a flexible schedule during holidays, including overtime when necessary. Qualifications At least one year of experience in a shipping department or similar environment. Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication. Passion for coffee and an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong time management skills and proficiency with Google Docs; experience with Ship Manager and ERP systems (D365) is a plus. Physical Demands Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; lifting heavier items with assistance or equipment as needed. Stooping, bending, repetitive hand/wrist/forearm movements, and standing for extended periods. Work Environment Warehouse setting; environment can be noisy with variable temperatures. Pay and Benefits The base compensation for this position is $22/hr.
