Phlebotomist
$23 - $28 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Berkeley, California patient service center to perform venipuncture and specimen collection across diverse patient populations. The role includes administrative duties, patient interaction, and potential travel to additional sites with Monday-Friday hours and rotating Saturday availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Accurately enter patient information and maintain specimen logs
- Prepare specimens for testing and process billing information
- Provide customer service and perform administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid California state phlebotomy license or filed application at hire
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility for overtime and travel as needed
Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
