Intermediate Software Engineer

We are looking for engineers to join our USN Advanced Technology Development Team. We are searching for a computer science or computer engineering graduate with 1 year or more work experience to code, optimize and build software speed and efficiency in an R&D setting. We need you to join us on the ground floor of some of the latest programs. Responsibilities Develop graphical user interfaces for local tools with the team of users. Develop software using SQL-Lite and SQL database tools. Support test event recreation using data mining, automation of metrics and quick-look reconstruction reports. Work Location and Travel Primary work location will be in Fredericksburg, VA with occasional telecommute or travel opportunities. US Citizenship US Citizenship is required for employment. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field. More than 1 year of software engineering experience coding in C++. Knowledge in definition and management of software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation. Plans, performs, and leads software design, coding, and testing. Experience in an Agile software development environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Familiarity with SQL‑Lite and SQL database usage or any data automation techniques. Experience with Atlassian tool suites, Jira (issue tracking) and Confluence (decision tracking); source code tracking tools such as Git and Bitbucket. Experience 1 or more year (required) and preferred experience in C++ or C#; familiarity with SQL or SQL‑Lite. Ability to Commute Fredericksburg, VA or Dahlgren, VA (1 hour south of Washington D.C.). Compensation US: $36.96 to $55.42 per hour.
