Merchandiser

Job Title PBNA $22.30 / hour This position requires travel of up to 50 miles from Lithonia, Ga. The role involves product merchandising in large volume stores (grocery, etc.). Responsibilities include stocking shelves, rotating products, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. The position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20–45 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving products. Primary Accountabilities Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays with products in assigned accounts Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf Transport products to and from the backroom to shelf location Use equipment to transport products (U‑boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts Keep back room stock neat and orderly Communicate store issues to store managers and PepsiCo management Build customer relationships at the store level Comply with operating procedures (scan-in/scan-out, designated route, etc.) Service accounts during times established by management Deliver customer service (communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs, etc.) Operate under minimal supervision (self-managed role) Use handheld devices to write/input orders Maintain regular, reliable attendance Basic Qualifications 18 years or older Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable) Have personal transportation to access multiple store locations during assigned shift Valid U.S. driver’s license Proof of insurance Helpful Experience Experience in a retail or grocery environment (understanding store operations, backroom inventory, stocking aisles and shelves) Experience moving products in a store using equipment such as U‑boats, hand trucks, or dollies Experience with merchandising products (filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out-of-stock or out-of-date products) Experience managing backroom or stock room inventory (organizing pallets, stacking, and storing inventory) Experience serving customers (handling complaints, responding to requests, meeting needs) Positions that require use of a personal vehicle for a sales route receive mileage reimbursement.
