EHS System Lead

AbbVie seeks an EHS System Lead to oversee the development and continuous improvement of the North Chicago Manufacturing facility's EHS Management System. This role involves leading a network of EHS Program Leads, coaching organizational leaders, and ensuring compliance with global standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, maturity assessment, and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System
• Oversee alignment of EHS programs with Global EHS Management Standards and regulatory requirements
• Establish governance framework for monitoring program health, effectiveness, and performance
• Coach and develop EHS Program Leads and operational leaders on EHS responsibilities
• Support internal and external audit readiness and compliance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or Engineering plus 5+ years EHS experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years
• Experience implementing EHS regulations and conducting incident investigations
• Background interacting with regulatory agencies and managing cross-functional teams
• Ability to develop measurable project goals and implementation plans
• Ability to establish standards and policies aligned with business objectives
• Strong relationship-building and conflict resolution skills
• Project and program management capability
