Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking a Technical Writer to support the United States Department of State in Arlington, VA.

Position Title : Technical Writer

Position Location : This position is hybrid in Arlington, VA.

Daily Responsibilities:  

• Prepare instruction manuals, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily.
• Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among users and designers. 
• Ensures documents follow the style laid out in the organization’s style guide. 
• Write, review, update and edit a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. 
• Review content of technical documentation for quality. 
• Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirements. 
• Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document. 
• Instrumental in providing customer and documentation support. 

Required Years of Experience (min) :

• 5 years working in the IT software industry. 

Required Degree :

• BS/BA degree OR Allowable Substitution: Additional five (5) years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree. 

Required Experience :

• A minimum of 5 (five) years working in the IT software industry. 
• Able to create Visio diagrams. Able to understand and create application logic and business data diagrams. 

Required Clearance :

• MRPT or Secret Clearance.

Pay Information

• $65k-$80k

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
