Material Handler

Our Holland, Michigan location is looking for a skilled Material Handler II to assist with warehouse logistics, inventory management, and general material transport. We need a professional who holds a current forklift certification and possesses a strong background in operating warehouse machinery, all while ensuring precise inventory tracking and strict adherence to safety protocols. Primary Duties Transport goods and items from production zones or receiving docks to their assigned storage spots. Arrange and categorize stock on shelves, racks, or bins by identifying product specifications and codes. Help streamline production by delivering necessary supplies and components based on active work orders. Utilize forklifts and various pieces of manual or automated equipment to move inventory efficiently. Verify, weigh, tag, and log all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate counts. Update inventory databases using warehouse software to keep records current and reliable. Unpack crates, containers, and bales as necessary for processing. Contribute to a secure working environment by strictly following all safety, quality, and PPE guidelines. Collaborate with management and colleagues to ensure smooth daily material flow. Essential Qualifications Between three and five years of background in manufacturing, warehousing, or material handling. Must possess a valid forklift certification. Proven proficiency in the operation of forklifts and related material handling tools. Foundational computer literacy with the ability to navigate inventory management software. Capacity to interpret and execute written or verbal material handling directives. Strong capabilities in both written and verbal communication. Dedication to maintaining high accuracy and fostering a culture of workplace safety. Physical Demands Regularly lift and transport items weighing up to 30 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50 lbs. Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving materials for the duration of the shift. Ability to navigate stairs by climbing and descending safely.
