About the Role

The Assistant Manager plays an important role in supporting the daily operations and overall success of the restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager and leadership team, this position helps ensure exceptional guest service, strong team performance, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating a positive work environment. This role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills while maintaining high standards for food quality, service, and team accountability.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience

• Deliver exceptional hospitality by ensuring guests receive a memorable dining experience.

• Maintain high standards of service and respond professionally to guest needs and feedback.

• Promote a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Team Leadership & Development

• Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of restaurant employees.

• Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail.

• Communicate expectations clearly and hold team members accountable for following policies and procedures.

• Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Restaurant Operations

• Assist with daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.

• Support scheduling, staffing, and maintaining appropriate labor levels.

• Maintain knowledge of menu items, recipes, inventory procedures, and operational processes.

• Ensure compliance with company standards for food quality, safety, cleanliness, and service.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in implementing solutions.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

• Assist with controlling food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.

• Support inventory management and cost-control initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks.

• Utilize restaurant technology, including POS systems and computer applications.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage a fast-paced environment.

• Professional appearance and adherence to company dress and grooming standards.

• Ability to operate and understand POS systems and restaurant technology.

• Proficiency with basic computer functions, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ability to communicate professionally with guests, employees, and leadership.
