Construction Safety Officer

Job Description Job Description Snapshot / Role Overview We're looking for a Construction Safety Officer in the Reno area to lead field safety on a major mechanical construction project spanning HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP scopes. Impact * Protect crews and subcontractors through daily field presence. * Reduce incidents and improve the experience modification rate through consistent OSHA compliance. * Be the go-to safety resource for foremen, superintendents, and the general contractor. * Keep high-risk work such as fall protection and crane operations safe and on schedule. Responsibilities * Conduct daily inspections and safety observations across all work areas. * Monitor compliance with OSHA, site-specific safety plans, and customer requirements. * Document inspections, corrective actions, and safety activities. * Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and stand-downs. * Review JHAs, AHAs, and pre-task plans before high-hazard work. * Investigate incidents and near misses. Must-Haves * Field safety experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects. * Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards. * Experience with fall protection and crane safety. Nice-to-Haves * OSHA 30 or CHST. * Mechanical trade background. Compensation and Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Full-time on the project site in the Reno area.
