Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in emergency and medical/surgical settings, exercising clinical judgment and applying evidence-based practices to ensure patient safety and well-being. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, personalized care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and record vital signs and symptoms accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments, including oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous therapies, utilizing electronic health record barcode systems.
• Assist physicians and multidisciplinary teams in patient examinations, procedures, and care planning.
• Maintain a sterile environment by cleaning, sterilizing supplies, and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patients' physical and mental health status to appropriate personnel.
• Provide patient education and support, promoting cooperation and self-care during recovery.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, valid state nursing license.
• Maintain current CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Possess clinical competence in emergency and medical-surgical nursing procedures.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Prior experience in ER, Med/Surg, LDR, or Nursery preferred.
